Ed Yourdon as born on April 30th 1944 (age 70). Ed Yourdon obtained his bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics from the Massachusetts institute of technology in 1965. He also did some graduate work in electrical engineering and computer science at MIT and Polytechnic institute of New York. He developed FORTAN programs for the PDP-5 minicomputer and later assembler for the PDP-8. He co-developed the Yourdon/Whitehead method for object-oriented analyses and design. He also authored, co-authored or edited 26 books
